Data protection notices
Protecting personal data is an important matter for Schmeck Verbindungstechnik GmbH. We would kindly therefore ask you to take note of the following information:
In principle you can visit our websites without informing us of your identity. We only store the name of your internet service provider, the website you use to visit us from and the name of the file requested. This information is used at most for statistical purposes in order to improve our offerings. In this case, you remain anonymous as an individual user.
The personal data accumulated as part of a query or by opening a customer account (in the shop) is collected, processed and used exclusively for the purposes of processing the agreement. The customer consents to these processes and also agrees to this data being forwarded to the companies working with SCHMECK VERBINDUNGSTECHNIK GmbH for order processing purposes (e.g. transportation companies). Once the purchase agreement has been processed completely and the purchase price paid in full, the data will be saved in accordance with tax and commercial law retention periods. Once the statutory periods have expired, it will, however, be deleted unless you have expressly agreed to the continued use of your data.
Where a customer has agreed to their data being used through acceptance of these data-protection provisions for the purposes of market research, product and service improvement or SCHMECK VERBINDUNGSTECHNIK GmbH's own marketing purposes (newsletter), the customer is entitled to revoke this consent at any time. This revocation may be sent by email to kontakt@schmeck-schrauben.de via the link provided in the newsletter or in any other way. No additional costs will be incurred by you through the revocation beyond the transmission costs at base rates. Your email address will be deleted immediately once the objection has been raised.
Your order information will be sent to you via email or fax.
Customer data is not processed or used by SCHMECK VERBINDUNGSTECHNIK GmbH other than for the purposes stated above.
SCHMECK VERBINDUNGSTECHNIK GmbH is under an obligation to comply with all applicable data-protection provisions, in particular to maintain data secrecy under section 5 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and to take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure data protection.
In the event that a customer does not consent to the collection, processing or use of their data for the purposes of this provision or does not consent to this to the extent required in order to process the order then it will not be possible overall to process the order properly. SCHMECK VERBINDUNGSTECHNIK GmbH shall be entitled to a right to withdraw from the contract where an effective contract was concluded between the parties prior to the customer's refusal.
Personal data will only then be transferred for another purpose where the customer has expressly agreed to this, unless it is for the purposes of collecting a claim.
