All threaded studs for short cycle can be produced on request in intermediate lengths and changed length tolerances according to a drawing or diagram. The flanges can be miniature right through to custom size.
The thread tolerance class can also be changed to "6e", "6f" or "6h".
Short cycle welding

PS threaded studs
We produce "PS" threaded studs for short cycle from M3 to M12 in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13918:2017 (previously DIN 32500 T5).
The following dimensions can generally be produced:
- M2.5 x 5 to 25 mm
- M3 x 5 to 45 mm
- M4 x 6 to 65 mm*
- M5 x 6 to 70 mm*
- M6 x 8 to 100 mm*
- M8 x 10 to 100 mm*
- M10 x 15 to 80 mm*
- M12 x 15 to 80 mm*
* Lengths over 63 mm have a partial thread of 60 mm.

Coarse threaded studs
We produce coarse threaded studs in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13918:2008.
The following dimensions can generally be produced
- S5 x 9 to 40 mm
- S6 x 10 to 40 mm (only on special customer order)
Schmeck coarse threaded studs can be produced on request in intermediate lengths with changed length tolerances according to a drawing or diagram (from 10,000 pieces).
Lacquer groove threaded studs
We produce Schmeck lacquer groove threaded studs to order in addition to DIN EN ISO 13918-2008. The thread is produced as standard to DIN ISO 724 with tolerance class "6g", but with six scraper grooves running along the shaft.
The following dimensions can generally be produced:
- M4 x 8 to max. 30
- M5 x 8 to max. 40
- M6 x 10 to max. 40
- M8 x 12 to max. 50

Conventional materials
Our studs are manufactured to DIN EN ISO 13918 from the following materials suitable for welding:
- Steel 4.8 and 5.8 to DIN EN ISO 898 T1
- Stainless steel A2-50 (1.4301/03)
- A4-50 (1.4401/04) and A5-50 (1.4571) to EN ISO 3506 T1
- Brass: CuZn37 (Ms63) to ISO 426-1 / ISO 1638
- Aluminium: AlMg3, AlSi12 and Al99.5 to EN 1301 T2
Studs can also be made from
- heat-treatable steel of strength category 8.8,
- steel quality 6.8 and
- A2-70
if required.

Delivery lots of 500 pieces right through to mass production of several million studs are routine for us.
As we use special wire analyses, we can provide a welding guarantee on all Schmeck products. Certification 3.1 to DIN EN 10204 can, of course, be provided on request.
