Tip ignition

Welding Studs For Tip Ignition

For more than 40 years, we have focussed on the manufacture of welding studs for tip ignition and short cycle. All threaded studs for tip ignition are produced to DIN EN ISO 13918-2017. Intermediate lengths or modified length tolerances can be produced on request according to a drawing or diagram. The flanges can be standard or miniature right through to custom sizes.

The thread tolerance class can also be changed to "6e", "6f" or "6h".

PT threaded studs

PT threaded studs

Threaded studs from M3 to M10 in steel, stainless steel A2-50 and AlMg3 are stocked in all standard lengths and can be delivered at short notice.

Welding studs made of 1.4401/04, 1.4571, Al99,5, AlSi12 and brass are generally produced to order. In some cases, small quantities can also be delivered - simply call to check our stock level.

The following dimensions can generally be produced:

  • M2.5 x 5 to 25 mm
  • M3 x 5 to 45 mm
  • M4 x 6 to 65 mm *
  • M5 x 6 to 70 mm *
  • M6 x 8 to 100 mm  *
  • M8 x 10 to 100 mm *
  • M10 x 15 to 80 mm *
  • M12 x 15 to 80 mm *

* Lengths over 63 mm have a partial thread of 60 mm
* Lengths over 75 mm have a larger flange Ø (size to be clarified if necessary)

UT pins

Pins from Ø3 to Ø7.1 in steel, stainless steel A2-50 and AlMg3 are stocked in all standard lengths and can be delivered at short notice.

Custom lengths and other materials are also produced to order.

The following dimensions can generally be produced:

  • Ø2 x 5 to 25 mm
  • Ø3 x 5 to 40 mm
  • Ø4 x 6 to 45 mm
  • Ø5 x 6 to 70 mm
  • Ø6 x 8 to 75 mm
  • Ø7.1 x 10 to 75 mm
  • Ø8 x 15 to 75 mm
  • Ø10 x 15 to 75 mm

The internal thread is produced as standard to DIN ISO 724 with tolerance class "6G".

The following dimensions can generally be produced:

  • Ø5 x 6 to 40 mm, internal thread M3
  • Ø6 x 8 to 45 mm, internal thread M4
  • Ø7.1 x 10 to 40 mm, internal thread M5

Intermediate lengths with modified length tolerances and miniature flange (minimum remaining flange = stud Ø + 0.3) can be manufactured on request according to a drawing or diagram.

Internal threads in non-standard diameters are also available (e.g. for Ø 6 mm, an internal thread of M3 is possible).

Coarse threaded studs

We produce welding studs with a coarse thread in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13918-2008.
They are produced to order from St36-3, 1.4301, AlMg3 and AlSi12.

The following dimensions can generally be produced:

  • S5 x 9 to 40 mm
  • S6 x 10 to 40 mm (only on special customer order)

Schmeck coarse threaded studs can be produced on request in intermediate lengths with changed length tolerances according to a drawing or diagram (from 10,000 pieces).

Lacquer groove threaded studs

These studs are produced to order in addition to
DIN EN ISO 13918.
The thread is produced as standard to DIN ISO 724 with tolerance class "6g", but with six scraper grooves running along the shaft.

The following dimensions can generally be produced:

  • M4 x 8 to max. 30 mm
  • M5 x 8 to max. 40 mm
  • M6 x 10 to max. 40 mm
  • M8 x 12 to max. 50 mm

All lacquer groove threaded studs can be manufactured on request in intermediate lengths with changed length tolerances according to a drawing or diagram.
